I've been fond of Alcaraz for a little while now but I'm worried he's gonna go and do something stupid like beat Rafa at RG to make me dislike him.
Don't do that, Carlito.
I mean, Rafa lifting a 15th RG trophy at this stage of his career would be an astronomical feat and as long as that man steps on those courts, he's the automatic favourite but a RG final between Rafa & Carlitos? that's a mind-blowing matchup and there won't be a better passing of the torch moment in tennis than Carlitos beating Rafa at RG. Imagine how chuffed the Spanish fans would be
Anybody who saw that match will know how close it was. Sinner even had a match point. They're both playing incredibly well this tourney and anything can happen in the semis.
Yeah I mean it was always a win win situation. Alcaraz Medvedev is a mtch I've been waiting to see since a year. That being said the sinner alcaraz match was surprisingly a bit of a let down. Too many errors from both. Sinner dropped his level way too much in the second set. Very unexpected tbh
FAA needed a good serving day to beat Alcaraz, under 60% first serve in and with 6 double faults it was basically impossible for him to win. The good news for him is that, in spite of today, in average he serves a higher percentage, the bad news is his backhand is still an error fest and whenever his serve is somewhat down he'll always be exploited by top players on that side.
Alcaraz Sinner should be a great match, they played on clay last year so we have previous meetings in slow courts. This is a match that once again I expect it to be defined by serving, not for Alcaraz, he is bound to be broken by Sinner at some point at least, even on his A days of serving it's not that good, but Sinner is 1.90+, given closely matched baseline rallies with an edge for Alcaraz given mobility and fitness, it's in serving when he can put an edge.
Also I have to say that Sinner is really improving every year. His serve is much more consistent (although he could still be better), his strokes are even better than before and I feel like his decision making has gotten better as well.
If he can find a way to move a bit more gracefully (he still does not handle tight turns very well) and bulk up just a bit more (for injuries mostly), he will really really be even more of a threat.
EDIT: Also mentally he is much stronger, he is dealing with pressure better I think.
I use a Chromecast and I can put both matches on the same tv. Both pictures and audio. It's not distracting at all, like when you select a conversation to focus on in a crowded room.
Need to be watching the commercial free/ no commentary feeds though.
I had to leave during the 3rd set of Sinner - Fritz to play football. I cannot describe how fast I looked at my phone after I was done and how happy I was Sinner won
Couldn’t be more stoked for Carlos. I love the battles between the young ones. Alcaraz, Rune, Sinner, Auger-Aliassime, Korda, etc. Super fun. Onto the semis! Stacked lineup btw. Rooting for Carlitos to win it all 🤟🏼🇪🇸
Just got out of the stadium and wanna share some thoughts after watching up close:
Carlitos is a generational athlete - you can see it on tv but in person it’s just breathtaking how fast and strong he is. If he can stay injury free, he will dominate physically for many years. I also think his outrageous forehand actually overshadows his backhand, it’s a real weapon that is far better than most other backhands I saw throughout the tournament. His only potential weakness is his spot serving, he has a fantastic kick serve but he could definitely develop a better flat first serve. His second serve is great though
Felix actually impressed me a lot too, he played incredibly well and was definitely the second best player I saw in person in the tournament. His forehand doesn’t look overwhelming on tv but trust me, it’s almost as good as the Alcaraz forehand. There were many forehand-forehand exchanges today where Felix actually dominated from that corner. His serve is legit and he is an amazing athlete in his own right, just not quite on Carlitos’s level. His backhand also holds up actually better than expected in rallies but he can’t take over a point with it like Alcaraz can. In my opinion the difference in backhands is what decided the match today, these two were very very close in all other aspects today. I watched Felix warm up before the match today as well and I did notice that he tends to run around his backhand to hit forehands 90% of the time in practice…while this is effective for him in a match, it doesn’t help him actually get the reps necessary to improve his backhand. Perhaps this is something Fontang can work on with him
Can probably tell from my flair that I’m incredibly excited for another sincaraz match, they’re both in amazing form!
Let's be honest, people want more Sinner - Alcaraz and less Medvedev - Zverev. Tournaments all over the world are going to be slowed down over the next decade, fair or not.
Slow courts are slugfests no thanks. Look at Nadal Vs Zverev last year at RG. I don't have the time to watch 4 hour 3 setters.
I don't want this shit lol.
Come on, that was unnaturally slow. Can't use that match as an example lol. This Indian Wells court is perfectly fine for tennis, those RG conditions were not.
Love post-match Carlos, hoodie and smiles and all. Looks like a typical teenager, which is a stark contrast to just how scary he looks and what a beast he is on court
Alcaraz will not struggle with Medvedev on these courts. Alcaraz struggles when players attack his serve, most of his losses come that way, and Medvedev while precise, simply isn't an aggressive returner. Alcaraz will love seeing Medvedev miles behind the baseline returning his serve. Getting to neutral against Alcaraz is not enough. Sinner is different though, he absolutely bullies weak serves, so Alcaraz will have to fight really hard to beat him.
I agree but I think Medvedev has a good shot if he serves well. Also I don't really agree with your point on Medvedev's returns. His returns are great and can make it tricky for Alcaraz.
I still give an edge to Alcaraz because he is playing amazingly well and the court suits him more but it will not be that simple
Yeah, if he faces Med in the final, I feel he could just leverage his transition game and volley basically every other ball, but Alcaraz will help himself if he can make good first serves. Meanwhile, Sinner's stellar rally tolerance will be a good test.
Felix played much better than his previous matches, there is hope for the upcoming tournaments. Probably he also gained enough points to remain in the top 10 for now. Zverev, Sinner, Hubi and Norrie are knocking at the door.
FAA also came off an emotional, late night 3 set match and played doubles the next day. Carlos played one set against Draper. The difference in lasting energy was clear.
FAA was inconsistent, mediocre return game in the first set.
His Return was stabilizing in the second set but his serve let him down in the worst moments.
It's not that he needs to ace all the time but he needs to serve above the net in crucial moments lol.
Can't go down 30-0 because of a weak first and rely on aces to hold later on.
The match was hard fought despite Carlos winning way more return points. Emulating his idol with a 3/12 break point conversion made it tougher than it should have been. Props to Felix for fighting hard despite the exertions of his last match.
Hope for another thriller tomorrow vs Sinner, with Carlos winning.
Tough match for Felix but overall a good tournament for him.
He desperately needs a new coach though. He has huge technical deficiencies which he plays very well in spite of. That backhand needs to be completely reworked.
I was getting voted down for Felix not being more resilient, and I think Felix could have certainly been more resilient even though he is clutch at times and good at saving BP. But credit to Alcaraz, Carlos was 'on another level'
I can’t be outright mad at Felix today cuz Alcaraz was on another level but it’s evident he lost both sets during really poor lapses of concentration despite playing well for 90% of the match. All three breaks came after having game points, serve was coming and going, return got progressively better but it was a no-show in the opener. A lot to improve if he wants to stand a chance against Alcaraz on non-indoor surfaces
a common thread, i feel like, between Felix and Taylor today was simply not enough clutch serving
a combo of not finding their spots (let alone their first serve) and their opponents reading them better and better, thus letting them return strongly by the closing stages
Just like how Djokovic only has one weakness (overheads) , Alcaraz only has one weakness (defensive backhand slices). Beautiful player , beautiful match
The young guns (Carlos, Sinner and Rune) are all so good at drop shots, particularly Carlos.
We really need some of these rivalries to start developing because it’s going to make Tennis so incredible for years to come!
Already can’t wait for Alcaraz v Sinner tomorrow!
In a meeting right now, saw on Google that Alcaraz had a break point and decided to tune in.
Saw that they had cut to a commercial. That's when I knew Alcaraz had broken haha
Yeah..Sinner Alcaraz. Go go Sinner
I've been fond of Alcaraz for a little while now but I'm worried he's gonna go and do something stupid like beat Rafa at RG to make me dislike him. Don't do that, Carlito.
Okay, but what if he beats Rafa and Joker
No that wouldn't be good enough.
Imagine how chuffed the Spanish fans would be
I want to see Alcaraz vs medevdev fingers crossed.
I want to see Alcaraz Tiafoe :DDD
Sinner can beat both of them
You mean like in the US open 2022? 🤔 Oh wait that didn't happen cos sinner lost.
Anybody who saw that match will know how close it was. Sinner even had a match point. They're both playing incredibly well this tourney and anything can happen in the semis.
Alacraz vs med. Excatly as I said it would. Ez wins.

I have tickets for the Indian wells mens semis, does anyone know if that means I’ll be able to catch both matches consecutively?
Wow amazing!! Enjoy!
Yes.
I do too, would also like to know this answer
Today was a phenomenal day for tennis. Three fantastic matches plus an Iga domination.
Still hate that both semis start at the same time on Saturday
The men's semis will be played consecutively.
I use a Chromecast and I can put both matches on the same tv. Both pictures and audio. It's not distracting at all, like when you select a conversation to focus on in a crowded room. Need to be watching the commercial free/ no commentary feeds though.
I don't think that will work since both matches are supposed to use court 1. Changes may be made before then.
I had to leave during the 3rd set of Sinner - Fritz to play football. I cannot describe how fast I looked at my phone after I was done and how happy I was Sinner won

Thanks!
Scenes when sinner and Alacarz ride on the golf cart sitting next to each other listening to the same song on shared earbuds
Nahhhh
Okay who's watching doubles or have we all checked out for the evening?
Legggggo Murray and Venus!!
Rooting for Murray/Venus!
Koolhof and Skupski look pretty good, so do Murray and Venus
Bueller? Bueller?
Oooh boy we get a sincalraz rematch! I gotta cheer for my boy Jannik though!!
Every sets today are 6-4 lmaoo
Felix got him when he was tired, broke and at his lowest. Hopefully never again
well played felix! congrats carlos!! on to sincaraz!
Let's be honest, people want more Sinner - Alcaraz and less Medvedev - Zverev. Tournaments all over the world are going to be slowed down over the next decade, fair or not.

I want alcaraz-med actually thanx
That's going to be a very rare matchup unfortunately. Both guys prefer polar opposite conditions.
Ha — I know. They’re my two favorites right now! I’m hoping I’ll get it this week 🤞🏻
Carlitos has such a cute smile 🥰
Carlos destroys his opponents and then just puts on this hoodie like he just got out of school
Love post-match Carlos, hoodie and smiles and all. Looks like a typical teenager, which is a stark contrast to just how scary he looks and what a beast he is on court
He's a joy to watch, no wonder the crowd loves him.
What a match. Straight sets, but unbelievably fun. So excited we've got upwards of a decade to look forward to with these two.
Great match!

One NewGen SF and one NextGen SF.
Felix played much better than his previous matches, there is hope for the upcoming tournaments. Probably he also gained enough points to remain in the top 10 for now. Zverev, Sinner, Hubi and Norrie are knocking at the door.
Fritz drops to 10 as well
I heard Med had picked up a problem with his ankle playing against Zverev? Is it bad enough to affect him in his upcoming matches?
He looked fine against ADF
In match he played better after the injury than before 💀
Literally he started playing more aggressive and stopped complaining about the court for a bit lol
Hop in the Sincaraz hype train
FAA wasn't bad today, Carlos was ripping the cleanest forehands I've seen since 06-07 Roger
FAA also came off an emotional, late night 3 set match and played doubles the next day. Carlos played one set against Draper. The difference in lasting energy was clear.

Such high quality semis coming up from both the men and women. Great tournament

Props to Felix for fighting hard despite the exertions of his last match. Hope for another thriller tomorrow vs Sinner, with Carlos winning.
medvedev the slim reaper 💀
Called it before he even landed in America but i feel it in my bones that Carlos will win sunshine doubles 🔥🔥🔥🚨
3-0 record took some beating in straight sets, literally LMAO
Alacaraz has looked the best among the four semifinalists in my opinion
For sure! Sinners serve is going to take a beating against Alcaraz
Really? I think Sinner has shown the highest level 🤔
I think he's gonna take it.
People counted carlitos out because of the h2h, he's won in straights. Bring on SinCaraz!
Tough match for Felix but overall a good tournament for him. He desperately needs a new coach though. He has huge technical deficiencies which he plays very well in spite of. That backhand needs to be completely reworked.
Doesn't he also have an extremely predictable serve destination. They've been talking about it for months!
Nah he can mask his serve well if he is on if you ask me.
PARADISE!! ◡̈ ♡
[удалено]
And look grumpy? Why? Felix is better off without his negative energy
knew carlitos would rinse felix. outplayed him from beginning to end.
[удалено]
Can't wait to see them in the same car !!
tennis paradiseeeee in the desert of the reallll deals
"*PARADISE!!*" - Alcaraz
:)♡
Nothing is going to top Meddy’s tad slow :( for me lol
Real deal keeps dealin
desert of the real deal
Felix was just outclassed. Looking forward to Sinner v Alcaraz part 5
Well, that was quicker than I expected
I was getting voted down for Felix not being more resilient, and I think Felix could have certainly been more resilient even though he is clutch at times and good at saving BP. But credit to Alcaraz, Carlos was 'on another level'
Think Carlos knew he had to get it done in straights. Felix was getting better.
Alcaraz is a delight to watch. Hopefully Sinner and Alcaraz can bring the goods again like the US Open.
Sigh Felix. So sad for how his season's going.
I can’t be outright mad at Felix today cuz Alcaraz was on another level but it’s evident he lost both sets during really poor lapses of concentration despite playing well for 90% of the match. A lot to improve if he wants to stand a chance against Alcaraz on non-indoor surfaces
Score doesn’t reveal what a high quality match this was for both players. Just as good as the Fritz Sinner one. Good day on IW
Can’t wait to see a meddy vs. alcaraz final. I have a feeling any of the top players will be afraid after this performance against alcaraz.
who's messy, messi?
Chinner!
Tennis fans won tonight! Tremendous matches.
sincaraz it is!!! 🫶
I'm really looking forward to that
Great match!! WE ARE FEASTING ON SINCARAZ 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 CARLITOS PATH TO #1 ON TRACK
We're watching a prodigy at the start of his career.
This shit started us open 2020
a common thread, i feel like, between Felix and Taylor today was simply not enough clutch serving a combo of not finding their spots (let alone their first serve) and their opponents reading them better and better, thus letting them return strongly by the closing stages
This man really could win his FIRST hardcourt tournament of the season, wow
Hardcourt is his best surface.
It plays like clay though :/
“This is not Hardcourts, I know, I am a hardcourt Expert” - Medvedev
Yup yup GGz
Who do you think reaches the Men's Singles Final this year ??
Sinner and Big Foe! This isn't based on logic but I want it
Cool
Alcaraz and Meddy would be the most likely I think.
Yeah but I think Sinner also has a good chance
Yeah for sure, their last match (Alcaraz / Sinner) was very close and imo the best match of last year.
I can go to sleep now
Vamos. Vamos. Vamooos! 💪
Carlitos winning Indian Wells & defending Miami???
No one beats Alcaraz 4 times in a row
That’d be Neo Goat stuff. Let’s see.
YES CARLITOS BROKE THE FELIX CURSE VAMOS
LFG USO rematch boissss
Great match!
Sinner Alcaraz time
We’ll be saying it a lot over the next decade
Sinner/Alcaraz rematch!!!! FUCK YES! Well played FAA also though.
Te quiero Carlitos!!!
Carlitos said its no problem Great win 👏👏
SINCARAZ SEMIFINALLLLL
Alcaraz got his revenge 😈
Congratulations Carlos!!!!! 🤩
This literally how you escape pigeonisation. I love my son Carlos 😍
That was an awfully tight 6-4, 6-4 match
He's just too good. Great win for Alcaraz.
Omg guys! We're really getting Sincaraz again! It's really happening! 😱🔥🔥🔥
Yes we are! And mediafoe
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Just like how Djokovic only has one weakness (overheads) , Alcaraz only has one weakness (defensive backhand slices). Beautiful player , beautiful match
Alcaraz registers his maiden win over Felix and now advances to the SF where he faces Sinner
2 MATCH POINTS VAMOOSS
If I were Fritz, I would spend hours watching how Alcaraz hits drop shots. Perfection
I’m not, but I definitely enjoy watching them.
If he watched the matches Sinner played with Alcaraz, he would not hit drop shots in his last match
Yikes this isn't going 3...
The young guns (Carlos, Sinner and Rune) are all so good at drop shots, particularly Carlos. We really need some of these rivalries to start developing because it’s going to make Tennis so incredible for years to come! Already can’t wait for Alcaraz v Sinner tomorrow!
Bro they don’t play tomorrow
I’m in England so technically it is tomorrow for me, but thanks for the heads up, imagine missing that match!
Actually it depends on where you live.
FINISH HIM CARLITOS
I really want this to go to 3 but it ain't looking like it
Two nice returns by Felix.
Can Carlos beat Meddy is my question. That’s my prediction for the final
Slowest hardcourt of the season, sinner or alcaraz would probably beat meddy in the final.
He has the firepower and variety to do so. Like Thiem used to do.
He can, but I hope he doesn't...
I think he does
Carlitos is a man in a mission
Man this match could have been so much better if Felix would hit his serve consistently lol
It’s like he would only serve perfect break point down
If only
As much as I want a 3rd set I gotta go to bed so Carlos let’s wrap this up
Literally same
[удалено]
Me me me. Trying to stay calm lol
Just waiting for Felix to break here
there you are, whoop it's MP
😭😭
There it is brother. Double 6-4 now VAMOS CARLITOS!
You can't beat Carlitos with a 1st serve % like that... Shame, was hoping to see a 3rd set.
Please sinner. Please win tomorrow. Please 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Tmrw no one plays dummy
In a meeting right now, saw on Google that Alcaraz had a break point and decided to tune in. Saw that they had cut to a commercial. That's when I knew Alcaraz had broken haha
This is gonna end up as the best 5 consecutive 6-4 sets I've seen lol what a couple of quarters
Hatred is the best form of motivation istg 🤭
Where's the guy who was telling me that Alcaraz isn't one of the best volleyers on tour? He very clearly is.
[удалено]
Nadal easy
Alcaraz actually has the highest net points win % out of all top 100 players in the past 52 weeks. He may actually be the very best.
When the serve is under constant pressure, it will collapse at some point. This was that.
Vamos Charlitos!!!
Alcaraz net game is just insane
Someone upload the fucking alcaraz point
tennistv have all the point highlights on Twitter https://twitter.com/tennistv/status/1636551594031599617 this is the best one tonight imo
