Can non-elite clubs outside England even grow anymore? Every year the same fucking teams who can't manage themselves properly just grab loads of their players. Football is done.
Ever stop to think that these clubs want to sell? PL money helps fund a lot of clubs in other leagues too. Look at Frankfurt, their whole squad costs less than Declan Rice's value but they still defeated West Ham. Money isn't everything, great scouts can find the same quality for cheap
I’ve not watched much of him, although with the quality some people say he has, he should be able to replace most of what Azpi and Christensen brought to the team this season, neither were good.
Idc, he's good, has potential, and we need to fix this major problem at the back ASAP before we're forced to panic buy.
It's also cheaper than reports said last summer and even earlier this summer.
We are in dire need of defenders. I'm just glad Sevilla arent being opportunistic cunts and making us use the release clause. we'll take what we can as fast as possible before people change their minds.
He’s gonna take Azpi’s role and they’re the same height and Azpi’s height has never really been a problem for him. Kounde also has a big jump and times his jumps well.
As good as La Liga is, annoying trolllike target men isn’t a big feature of the league like with a lot of teams in the bottom half of the premier league.
How many big CFs even are there in the premier league these days? I feel like that stereotype is outdated these days, even the teams lower down don't use them anymore
Sure, but they aren't the stereotype of what used to be here. It's not like Benzema is tiny. Haaland and Lukaku, sure, but bottom half teams relying on some huge oaf to bully the ball into the back of the net is not a thing anymore in the way he is suggesting it is
Factor compared being height. Usually tall defenders should excel at set piece headers. Yet the shorter attacker has more headers.
Point being, height isn't a factor for a good/bad player.
Is Kounde really that good? Honest question since I haven't seen that many games from him. And on reddit i See varying opinions on him, from generational and best young defender to being overrated and to small for a defender.
Cool, hope we wrap this up quickly.
These PL warchests are gonna do some serious damage to the rest of Europe this summer aren’t they
As in tradition
Indeed.
Chelsea and Newcastle getting players from Sevilla , Man United from Villareal... it's gonna be a massacre

Diego Carlos I think
It's Aston Villa that wants him now, not Newcastle that ship has sailed you're not up to date to transfer carousel.
You should fear more about the war chest by not spending on Mbappe. Madrid is the one to watch this summer
Yes, we should worry about one club in Spain and not about Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal or Manchester
Correct. Pay us no mind
What did we even do?
Obviously Liverpool isn't exactly like the others, but you can, did and will spend big when you think it's the right move.
Madrid don't usually raid 2nd line European teams, unlike the sum of Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal.
its a cycle madrid will raid the likes of spurs , chelsea
I mean if they spend another 100m+ on Werner I’d be delighted
Plz raid us madrid but leave reece james alone

What a steal
I hate that we live in a world where 60M for a defender is considered a “steal”
Well we are paying 80 million for Tcheumani a young player not even in his prime. At least Kounde is arguably the best defender in the league.
60m is a much more reasonable price
This is why we didn't sell the last two summers. We got two more seasons of Koundé and still will sell for more than was previously offered.
Interesting player for sure, such a short defender.
Same height as Azpilicueta who he is going to be replacing
He's around the same height as Thiago Silva
5 CM shorter, that's quite a bit imo
I was about to comment that it's not that much, but tbh he's shorter than and I'm 5'9".
He's taller than Puyol
Same height from what ive seen, and I would classify Puyol as unique aswell.
Baresi, Puyol, Cannavaro, there are plenty of short defenders
Not as short as Inter legend Ivan Cordoba
baresi and cannavaro were shorter.
Ok, he is still short
I’ve not watched much of him, although with the quality some people say he has, he should be able to replace most of what Azpi and Christensen brought to the team this season, neither were good.
60 million for Kounde that's an overpay
Cheaper than he was last year
2 years on his contract now
Still cheaper.
Yea should be expected with less on contract swear they weren’t asking much more last summer anyway if its 60m **plus variables **
Idc, he's good, has potential, and we need to fix this major problem at the back ASAP before we're forced to panic buy. It's also cheaper than reports said last summer and even earlier this summer.

Well maybe
no it's not, very fair price
Keep your 5’7 self away from my club, Kounde.
Man is 6 foot with his afro and has better aerial duel rates than Rudiger and Dias
You do need to add it's in a different league however. I do think Kounde is good though, just bullied by Antonio
Can’t get bullied by Antonio any worse than Christensen used to lol
He’s gonna take Azpi’s role and they’re the same height and Azpi’s height has never really been a problem for him. Kounde also has a big jump and times his jumps well.

Weghorst is the only other not mentioned that I can think of
Well there's a pretty notable one joining this summer. And it's not like Kane is a small guy either
Sure, but they aren't the stereotype of what used to be here. It's not like Benzema is tiny. Haaland and Lukaku, sure, but bottom half teams relying on some huge oaf to bully the ball into the back of the net is not a thing anymore in the way he is suggesting it is
There are quite a few big target men esque strikers in Spain
He's not going to be playing in a back 4 though, so that won't be an issue. He's like the perfect RCB you'd want in a back 3.
Our other CBs aren’t massive either though.
Colwill and Chalobah are both over 185 cm, and we'll buy someone to replace Rudiger as well so shouldn't really be an issue.
He's going to play Azpi's role at RCB, he's dominant physically
Against Europeans. Doesn’t mean he can handle the pace and power of English forwards
Well he is pacier then christensen and silva
Oh how can he handle the immense pace and power of the mighty nketiah
Height != aerial ability Jota is better in the air than Lukaku
Lukaku is built like a pyramid though I wouldn't expect him to jump well
Lol no he isn't. He just gets a thousand more crosses season per season.
Keep your shitty takes away from the forum then, Do you say the same about silva (5cm taller) or dave... who is exactly the same height
Who is dave?
César Azpilicueta. We call him Dave cuz no one knew how to say his name when he joined.
Azpilicueta
Silva and Dave had AC and Rudi beside them so the bigger defenders could take the big men for set pieces and man marking.
Starting defence is Rudi-TS-Dave. TS>>>>>>AC in the air btw.
You haven't seen silva play. Have you? Or you wouldn't have talked this shite
Silva constantly beats his man in the air so idk about that one.
And kounde could have the same situation since he is a rcb...?
Pulisic has scored more headers than Christensen.
Attacker scores more goals than defender. More at 10
Factor compared being height. Usually tall defenders should excel at set piece headers. Yet the shorter attacker has more headers. Point being, height isn't a factor for a good/bad player.
Jesus Christ, he’s maybe one of best defenders in the world
Very nice, generational player for the future, it's a steal
We just calling anyone generational these days?
Only the players signing for the clubs we support
Or blatantly underrate those going to clubs we don’t
The guy is 23 and is a starter for France, he's an elite talent
Is Kounde really that good? Honest question since I haven't seen that many games from him. And on reddit i See varying opinions on him, from generational and best young defender to being overrated and to small for a defender.
He's very good, France starter, can overlap on the right with James, dribbles like a midfielder, very good duel and aerial duel stats
Is he a CB or RB ? And is he good with headers ?
He's a CB that can play RB too if needed, he's good with headers
Then it would be a Great signing.
