firewalkwithme-

Genuinely believe it’s written into all their contracts that they need to do a line before going on air

agilezzzz

Edu even brings his with him

Ianthorwest

If he actually stays then please sign a lifetime contract. I can’t be bothered with this anymore.

AhmedYasha

doesn't matter if it's a lifetime contract or a 1-year contract, I very much doubt Perez will ever go back for him if he does renew with PSG.

ygog45

Why would he not? Genuinely curious. Because of pride?

FedeValverde15

Yes, nobody is bigger than the club

Dophie

But he’s not a Madrid player yet…

wavechappelle

If he’s the best player in the world in two years and rumors start leaking that he’s considering Barca then I’d bet Perez swallows his pride.

staedtler2018

The problem isn't pride, it's that it becomes impractical to sign him. He's showing he can't be trusted in a negotiation. He's willing to go to the brink and change his mind at what's functionally the last possible minute. This means you (and any other club) can't really make any plans to sign the player. Which means he can't be part of any plans. Which means he won't be signed.

nicebeard2300

Madrid already survive and thrive (debatable) with having the goat (arguably) playing for Barca. They will survive and will still be able to sign other top players.

Competitive-Ad2006

>Madrid already survive and thrive (debatable) with having the goat (arguably) playing for Barca. If Messi had at any point voiced a wish to switch to Madrid Perez would've jumped at it my friend-We saw that with Figo

ChillPalis

It helps that a player who's equally contentious for the GOAT title happened to have been a Madrid player.

CSdesire

they survived and thrived because they had the other goat playing for them lol

staedtler2018

They only really started thriving when they put a bunch of great players around Ronaldo. It took a while to find them.

CSdesire

still having ronaldo takes the sting out of not having messi

MouseMD369

Probably but he would have wasted 2 years at PSG I sincerely doubt he can keep elevating his game in a farmer's league

duded101

lol people made the same comments every year since he’s joined. i vividly remember people saying in 20/21 his passing needed work, this year he’s the top assister. ligue 1 isn’t the most competitive league but it’s a very hard league to play in if you’re an attacker

bioeffect2

I get that but surely for a player of Mbappe's caliber an exception could be made no? Besides Haaland pretty much no one else even comes close in that age group.

ozzzzzyyyyyy

I think Perez has pride. As foxy as he is, this is the second time this has happened and I think he will call it a day. The only reason he would go after him again is if La Liga leadership also want him to increase viewership, but from a Madrid perspective, the fans have had enough.

FedeValverde15

Maybe, but I can safely say majority of fans don't want it, so Pérez probably won't do it

Howdareme9

If mbappe is the best player in the world in 2 years, then your minds will change

diogoooooal

Do you think a bunch of people on Reddit is the majority of Madrid fans? They would love the best player in the world, whether that be now or in 2 years.

ferkk

I'm gonna sound spoiled here but I don't care. Madrid is built differently and that include the fans. If Mbappé stays in PSG now, he would go from loved to hated for a majority of Madrid fans, or at least the ones that can make their voice matter, who are the spanish ones. And this is not something that can be changed because 'he's the best in the world'. I guess every fanbase thinks nobody should be bigger than their clubs, but this goes to another level in Madrid. Actual legends of the club like Ramos and Cristiano experienced this in first person. And nobody is shedding any tears since their departures; Cristiano left and Benzema became the new big guy, Ramos left and Alaba/Militao filled his shoes instantly. If Mbappé, who's not a Real Madrid legend, doesn't come, be sure that no matter how good he is, someone else will take 'his place' for Real Madrid fans. We will move on to the next big thing, be either Rodrygo stepping up, Hazard being reborn or a new, shiny new player. Madrid and their fans are not gonna be waiting for Mbappé forever.

jimbo_kun

How could you be sure of his commitment to the project after that? What Madrid did to get to Champions League final this year took extreme belief and commitment and effort to come from behind in those ties. Madrid stars seem to stay and not bounce to other clubs until they are past the peak of their careers, if at all. That is a culture you do not want to upset, even for a very talented player.

celigodtko

Ronaldo or Ramos wasnt an exception. I dont think Mbappe will be one.

javierich0

Nah, if he's not committed to the club he can stay at PSG for life. We can reinforce other areas, it's either now or never for the fans.

Moug-10

True. But if he publicly says he will sign for your team and even lower his wage, you will sign him in a heartbeat.

Kind-Departure1058

Yes, Casillas knows that hence they organized him a farewell with a measly press conference like he was Jese Rodriguez

RauloGonzalez

He would know that since he was the one who rejected a full farewell

ferkk

I see nothing wrong with Casillas. We all want to say goodbye with those who are valuable for us. Some did it with the fans like Arbeloa around the same times as Casillas, who received a good farewell from the stadium, and Casillas did it with the journalists, his closest friends.

x_von_doom

It’s not surprising a *culerdo* would be defending Casillas. In case my sarcasm went over your head, that’s one of the reasons Casillas got the Jesé sendoff. The club is above all else. Casillas forgot that.

staedtler2018

Pride, but also practical concerns. How exactly do you re-negotiate with someone who was willing to go this far, only to renew? You can't trust them with time anymore, which means you can't plan anything. All you can do is show up one day, offer them a contract, give them a day to think about it, and if they don't sign you move on immediately.

jaguass

Real would benefit massively by recruiting Mbappe, even within 1 or 2 years. It would be pretty stupid to act on it from pride, but ok.

staedtler2018

How exactly does Real Madrid sign him in two years? Ask PSG for a transfer? Won't work. Wait for his contract to run down? If he stays he'll be showing *that doesn't work either*. You can't "plan" on a player who's basically shown you that he's willing to go this far and change his mind. It would be one thing if he'd renewed with PSG instead of running down the contract, or if he'd renewed six months ago. But it's late may!

conceptkid

I’m sure this is really affecting your life.

waylil14

What da cameraman doing?

thebig6

God’s work

deception42

/u/tomasroncero next time can you give r/soccer a shoutout

DrQuantumGio

Is that actually him?

kilari7

No lol

DrQuantumGio

Damn my disappointment is immeasurable

Ask_Asensio

The main problem with this saga is that i don't ever remember a player being so insistent about a certain club being his "dream" You usually see pros having one or two old interviews from his teenagers years saying they would love to play for a certain club in the future but this is not the case. Mbappe has published an entire comic book as an adult in which he mentions Madrid over a hundred times as his final dream & destination. The issue here is that Kylian knows that he fully closes that door if he indeed renews with PSG.

moc360

I think that's most people problem he want to leave ? Fine. He want to stay ? Fine too that his life his right but why make a spectacle out of all of this. I have friends who are PSG fans and from what I see even if he renew some people are still rubbed the wrong way from all of this. And if he leaves Madrid fans will expect a Hat trick each weeks after this mess

jimbo_kun

He should have a TV special to announce the destination to which he will take his talents.

monsterm1dget

Somebody call piqué

duded101

i remember like 4 months ago mbappe said he would give his final decision in the end of may. since then he hasn’t said anything except one night wheh he said he decision was made. blame the spanish/french press for making a spectacle, not mbappe for keeping his mouth shut

ValleyFloydJam

Has he made a spectacle out of it? Or has it been the press?

staedtler2018

The press isn't making this stuff up. It may not be real, but they aren't making it up.

RauloGonzalez

He's allowed the press to do that to some extent. He makes comments like he has made his decision but doesn't refute or comment on the news out there being spread. I get that some people just want to stay away from the media though

ValleyFloydJam

Cos he would have to do a lot of commenting.

Howdareme9

How is he making a spectacle? He literally hasn’t said anything. Everything your saying is coming from rumors

chak100

This!!! The entire drama is disrespectful for both

Vegan_Puffin

> but why make a spectacle out of all of this because ego and narcissism

Yavin87

Have you seen him play? Put him next to Benzema, Vini and Modric and I can see the weekly hat trick easily happening lol

Gotanyfunkopops

Why would the door close? There is no loyalty in football. Perez would easily push someone out as he would bring someone in for the benefit of the club. If Mbappe stays, I don’t believe Perez will not make another attempt in one or two years, he’s still pretty young. If there is loyalty in football, it’s shaky at best, and very rare when both club and player commit to this arrangement. Mbappe isn’t in Madrid yet, so to expect that he have “loyalty” to the football club of his dreams is a bit ridiculous.

chak100

He doesn’t need to have loyalty, just be a man of his word. Madrid has done everything he asked for and he still manufacturing drama.

UrMaDrinksPastaWater

He's playing his leverage perfectly, never seen such a worker masterclass vs billion dollar companies.

chak100

Mbappe is a multimillion dollar company which it’s not fulfilling his agreement and is burning bridges. I hope he enjoys his masterclass during the years he will play at PSG

UrMaDrinksPastaWater

No doubt he will. He's a value creator getting a big part of the cake. He's winning his class war within top level football and it's admirable. Not to mention Simp Perez will go after him next time he makes himself available.

chak100

Mbappe would have closed the doors to Real Madrid. When you agree to something and then backtrack on the agreed terms, when the other party has fulfilled its part, you end up burning bridges and creating a bad image

not_y0ur_business

Mbappe might become the best player in next year playing at PSG, but the Madrid fans, press and even the players will remember this whole drama that has been going on for a year. Forget about Perez’s ego being hurt, Papa will swallow his pride for the club…. but the fans, press, dressing room might not trust Mbappe to fill in the shoes of the likes of Raul, CR7, Benz. And icons of Madrid are usually pretty loyal, Raul, CR7, Benz, KCM, Ramos, Iker, Marcelo have stayed with us a long time; the loyalty isn’t that shaky. You think Madrid fans would back CR7 like the way we did if we knew he rejected our move already because of money? We’d be thinking he would leave us for the next big bag.

Gotanyfunkopops

Until he signs the contract, he has not committed, and he is still within his right to change his mind if the circumstances call for it. Whether there was a verbal agreement, we aren’t privy to that knowledge, and all there is now is media speculation. Ultimately, he scores goals and that’s why Madrid are after him. Whether he scores them next season or the following doesn’t really matter, and I doubt fans will care about all this at that point.

staedtler2018

>he is still within his right to change his mind if the circumstances call for it. Right. And Real Madrid is within its rights to think that a player who changes his mind at the last moment can't be counted on, and move on. It's pretty simple stuff.

staedtler2018

>, I don’t believe Perez will not make another attempt in one or two years What does another attempt look like, though? Ask PSG for a transfer? Nope. Negotiate with him as a free agent? Also nope, based on what's happening now. This is why players don't actually fuck around with running down their contracts all that often.

themfeelswhen

I have never seen Perez bend over backwards for any player like this ever. He famously set deadline to Ronaldo Ramos but forgot all that when it came to Mbappe. To me this seems like Perez saw this as a personal battle with Nasser/Qatar ---- for both it was not about the players quality anymore. Mbappe was just a toy both badly wanted to declare "victory" over the other. You expect his kind of behaviour from the man child's at PSG but it's very much surprising to see a shrewd business man like this get played by Mbappe.

Ask_Asensio

Mbappe is not our player, he was able to set a deadline on Ronaldo & Ramos since both of them were Madrid players. He trusted Mbappe own words but after all he changed his mind and betrayed the previous deal. It's not the first time Florentino has been rejected though. Gerrard, Totti & Vieira just to name a few. Having said all that we are in the Champions League final once again, there will be plenty of time for transfers in the summer. Now we need all our energy directed to May 28th.

themfeelswhen

>It's not the first time Florentino has been rejected though. Gerrard, Totti & Vieira just to name a few. He also didn't bend over backwards and accept every demand from those players. Getting rejected ain't the problem here. It's the manner in which Perez has allowed Mbappe to use him that is embarrassing. >Mbappe is not our player, he was able to set a deadline on Ronaldo & Ramos since both of them were Madrid players. lol how does that matter. You do realise that Perez had an option to walk away from the deal right --- like every transfer in football. Perez could have easily set a deadline for Mbappe to accept, if Mbappe doesn't sign the contract then just move on & focus on other players who were fully committed to joining real. Instead Perez allowed Mbappe to make a fool out of him. That is the part embarrassing. >there will be plenty of time for transfers in the summer. Usually Perez would have moved on long long ago. He lost track of things because he was too desperate to win this personal ego battle with the clowns at PSG.

Ask_Asensio

Nor with Kylian. All Tier 1 sources from both Spain & France confirmed PSG were offering 50M net while Madrid only 25M net. Florentino clearly put the limit and told Kylian he would not exceed that. But he indeed trusted and believed Kylian own words for it. The summer is just starting though, we are in the Champions League final and have plenty of money to reinforce all key positions.

tecphile

Lol, with the new deal signed last week, we have $400M to spend. I just hope we don’t get rinsed like Barca did in 2017.

Seba4433

never change chirinquito never change 😂

Rdambx

It is a a bit funny but everything he is saying makes sense

johntagbo

Translate please?

Rdambx

TLDR: Real Madrid will always be bigger than anyone, the team is chasing their 14th CL title and they'll remain at the top no matter what. If the rumours are true about Mbappé renewing then he made a big mistake and he'll regret his decision as time passes by

Skadrys

Just like neymar regretted it, Mbappé will too.

diogoooooal

Jesus people already trying to cope with not getting mbappe. Maybe wait a week until the summer deadline opens

chak100

People are mad because the drama

iceandfires

We have waited 5 years

SteinerElMagnifico42

‘Waited’ as if he’s a bride you’ve been gifted in an arranged marriage

kilari7

I would have agreed with this if he hadn't relesed that damn comic lol, now it just seems so funny when people suggest that it's only RM fans who've been twerking for him to come when he's made it clear that the feeling is mutual.

angellob

i mean i agree the feeling is mutual but hasn’t he had plenty of time to sign with you guys but hasn’t yet

damola44

Lol chill. He’s coming to the bernabeu.

MyZt_Benito

yeah, once a season. He’s signing for Cádiz

maurid

I love me a good Roncero meltdown but he’s right.

EggplantBusiness

He is overly dramatic like but overall he has a great point.

franz4000

He is quite theatrical but his position is a defensible one.

Big-Camel-282

His actions convey a high level of dramatization verging on a Shakespearean tragedy, but his over-arching criticism is based in a sensible line of logic.

TheAlmightyKrot

peepee poopoo

Zidlicky3

Honestly I didn't even think this, but how Mboopi feels if Madrid does win 14th, at his home (Paris). Would he be turning 180 again? Sunday: PSG after the final: Madrid Kid is never going to sign the papers with this speed :D

monsterm1dget

This feels like a lot of theatre. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Osama11Sul

translation if possible?

XboxJon82

Well he is still officially a PSG player

javierich0

I mean, he still plays for PSG.

kplo

No he isn't, Mbappe is in every right to extend and he is not a loser or "uno mas del monton" for rejecting Madrid.

ozzzzzyyyyyy

From a sporting perspective he’s making a big mistake for staying. Financially he isn’t and his decision will demonstrate which one he prioritises. PSG ain’t becoming a Chelsea anytime time soon let alone a Madrid.

AlexanderTheGreat818

Priorities are different. Maybe 1 UCL with PSG means more to him than 3 with Madrid

ozzzzzyyyyyy

In his own book he stated that it is his dream is to play for Madrid. If staying with PSG was sentimental, PSG wouldn’t have to offer him half of Qatar.

t1mb3r21

Him signing a two year extension means he doesn't believe PSG will win a CL, but is just wanting a pay day.

notsoslim-jim

3 UCLs sound better than 1 tbh

EggplantBusiness

I have no problem with him staying but why lose our time ? Don't bullshit us with "it was a dream" , the comic book this year or even the two 30 minutes interviews where he explained why he wanted to play for Madrid. If he just said his decision no one whether it's Madrid or PSG fans will talk much about it. Maybe he will leave or maybe he will renew but all this little thing accomplished was upsetting both set of fans more than necessary.

TheyStoleTwoFigo

> have no problem with him staying but why lose our time ? Using you as leverage to become part of the royal family of Qatar, perhaps? People ought to know by now to take those "always my dream to play for X or Y" with a fistful of salt. Even when genuine, they often only matter when the margin of choosing one or the other is small. Sentimentality are only an advantage as a tiebreaker. The road to success is arduous, careers are short, luck fluctuates. Romance has it time and place, but money comes first.

FasterThanABuck

He's a complete loser if he does extend what are you talking about lol Facing failure in the CL every single season, with this season being one of the most humiliating, club a complete and utter shambles with no sign indicating they will ever course correct. And he stays because he's getting the biggest wage ever and basically a sporting director role? Doesn't get more loser than that

Howdareme9

He’s not a loser if he stays lmao. People need to stop acting like RM is the be all end all of football clubs.

FasterThanABuck

They quite literally are idk what else to tell you

Howdareme9

They’re not. You can become an all time great without joining RM.

celigodtko

Dont move the goal post. You said RM is not the end of all football clubs. Which club is bigger then Madrid ?

celigodtko

RM is the end of football clubs.

Firstolympicring

He's gonna be a top three candidate for Ballon Dor for the next decade, PSG is gonna dominate France and will always be a serious candidate for the CL, and France is gonna be a favorite for the Euros and World Cup for at least another eight years. Yeah, complete loser.

FasterThanABuck

He can be all of that *and* actually win the CL (as opposed to just be a serious contender every year but do nothing) if he signs with Madrid

Howdareme9

You don’t need to be at Madrid to win a CL

jcald60

How can you be a serious candidate when you shit the bed in round 16?

JackZKool

Sure, he’s completely free to do so. Didn’t have to drag it all of this time. Go out and say I’m leaving or I’m extending and enough with this edgy high school girl stuff.

googitygig

Ah cop on. He's entitled to take as much time as he wants. He's trying to get the best deal for himself. Potentially worth hundreds of millions. It's not "high school girl stuff".

Firstolympicring

Yeah, Real Madrid might be his dream, but if reports are accurate in the slightest bit, PSG is offering life changing money, even for football stars standards, he'd be an idiot not taking his time to make his choice

JackZKool

Real Madrid is offering the highest wages in its history and a large share of the image rights. Whatever he’ll miss out in wages he’ll make back close to it in sponsors and other deals outside of the ones from the club

Howdareme9

He won’t. Psg are straight up offering a massive signing bonus too as well as Messi type salary

Howdareme9

Exactly. People are acting like clubs dont fuck players all the time.

b0xel

Lmao this guy is the definition of pashun. Hilarious

dupont2021

Spanish AFTV

Albiceleste_D10S

AFTV has nothing on El Chiringuito, LOL. This is football heritage

MeliodasRebirth

Estoy cansado, Beto.

realshadowfax

I don’t understand Spanish but I know exactly what this meant when I saw this

_shhiroyasha69_

Roncero needs to calm down. No player is bigger than the club. Prime Ronaldo left the star strudded MU team for us when we were struggling to get past knockout stages in ucl. There's Zero guarantee that he'll achieve half the the amount what Ronaldo has achieved here, And we are still giving him more wages and image rights right than Ronaldo. If he still wants more money, he can stay there for his lifetime. I would like if all our fans supported the brazilian kids who kiss the batch everytime they score more than a PSG player who isn't even sure what he's gonna do. No doubt we'll be better with him, but We are madrid we will still find better players in coming years. We are in UCL finals without him. Plzz support our own players unlike those fans who were chanting mbappe's name in the Bernabeu. If Mbappe renews, he should very well know that the pathway to the DREAM CLUB he always wanted to play for, will be closed for a lifetime. It's now or never. Even if the transfer does happen, this whole saga has left real bad taste in my mouth, I'll always love players like vini, lucas, modric, rodrygo, nacho more than him. Hala Madrid **Y NADA MAS**

damola44

Stop lying. If he drops 40G and 10A a season while winning trophies, you’ll love him like crazy

_shhiroyasha69_

Nah, bale has dropped crazy numbers for us too. We value the jersey and players who play for the jersey more, even if they aren't the best players on their position. Yeah people would love him, compared to vini or benzema or modric? No.

Competitive-Ad2006

Bale was valued, only stopped when his out put fell and he started scoring less. I wouldn't call Benzema "loved" pre 2020 by Madrid fans

_shhiroyasha69_

Nah, bale's value was dropped when he Supported barnett's shit talk about our coaches, and then started to give zero fucks about the team as a player. Then that banner with wales happened. Benzema missed way too many chances in front of goal during 2016-18 seasons that's why he was booed. But Zidane and perez were adamant to make him stay to the point, we thought Benz had Zidane nudes. But his support towards Cristiano was appreciated by everyone of us.

MattFox20

>we thought Benz had Zidane nudes. I'm sorry, what?

_shhiroyasha69_

It's a joke, but during those times, he was drastic in front of goal but still was an undisputed starter for zidane. So we joked that he might have Zidane's nudes and that's why Zidane is compelled to start him every match.

MattFox20

Thanks for clarifying! You never know these days lol

x_von_doom

> Roncero needs to calm down. Will never happen. It’s his whole act. He’s been doing the unhinged court jester act for the Bernabeu *piperos* (you know, the inherited socio assholes that left in the return leg vs City at the 80th minute to beat traffic) for the last 25 years. I’ll never let him live down his embarassing defenses of Raul (who let fame and the idolatry from the Spanish press get to his head and became a toxic fuck in the locker room, esp toward the end), Valdano (maybe the worst GM Madrid ever had) and Casillas, etc (a similar case who put his personal interests and those of the National Team’s before those of the club - and Mou rightly called him out for it) during the Mou era. And guess what? Like most things, turns out Mou was right, same as Mou was also right in getting rid of Raul (literally the first thing he did when he got to Valdebebas) and later Valdano. He’s a clown and Bernabeu, if he were alive, would have told him to go fuck himself and to stop embarassing himself and the club like that on TV.

FortuneorBrave

Based roncero

AvailablePotential68

Gonna be a little awkward if he signs for Madrid

flagitiumhomines

Which of the mods in here works for Chirniguito or is related to someone that does? Cause multiple posts on Mbappe were taken down but you have allowed the two of the Chirniguito that are of the lowest quality.

Shpoople44

It’s well agreed Chiringuito is just tabloid videos, yet mods allow it. Would mods allow me posting videos of me acting dramatically over the top over Lewa- Barca?

LewsTherin177

Hashtag We are all Roncero. Send tweet.

LanaRhoades6969

This is hands down the best sports TV show in the world

LampseederBroDude51

Honestly. He isn’t wrong

damola44

If he decides to renew with psg, he’s making a huge mistake

wlb410163309

Translate please?

AP10

It eases my soul to see Roncero in pain.

We_Trust_El_Plan

I love the part where you can see the camera guy basically staying still and on the other side the camera showing Roncero moving as if it was an earthquake, lol.

bishaarcc

If he decides to stay, he wants the money and not UCL, the main goal is the money and that's a real problem for PSG. Every player who go there wanted money. Lewa wants to leave Bayrn and come to Barcelona for Ballandor, not more money. Till PSG mindset changes then I don't see them winning UCL anytime soon.

ValleyFloydJam

Harsh tbh, maybe he what's to win with PSG and he's young and has time to do both.

not_y0ur_business

>win with PSG. About that…

ValleyFloydJam

It's not like they have no hope. Hell if they gave what looked like a foul on a certain keeper or he had but booted it away, who knows where they might be.

Poke-lord

They were in a final two years ago and a semi last year. It’s not outlandish that they might win it soon

xtoonator

Which is also very funny to think you can win a Ballon dor by fighting for the UCL spots in La Liga

not_y0ur_business

More focus. Bayern is a behemoth in Europe but more people still tune in to watch El Classico, and winning Bundesliga with Bayern is just not gonna generate as much attention as winning la liga with Barca or EPL with anyone other than ManCity. Bayern slaughtering all the competition is bad for popularity cause graphic violence is bad for marketing.

vizionsx

Maybe he want to make history, winning the first CL for PSG is a bigger achievement than winning the 14(?) th for Madrid

Zheguez

That people are downvoting your point is sad but unfortunately expected. People couldn't possibly think that a player could have feelings for PSG or have an evolving dream/goal of that they want to achieve.

LanaRhoades6969

Sure, except this dude has stated dozens of times that his dream club is Real Madrid. If he renews, it's for the $€£¥, not for the prestige of winning one with PSG

Zheguez

Two things can be true at the same time plus, I've always been skeptical about holding people to something as intangible and bound to evolve as a "dream" especially one that first came to be when they were a child (see literally any player who has mentioned their dream). Obviously people change their minds or adapt to present circumstances. And, even then, its not as if he's declared that he will never leave PSG, that all of a sudden he never wants to go to Madrid or he's 28-30+ and this is his last major contract. If Madrid wants to move on for the time being, that's fine and makes sense as an organization (if anything, they should've gone for him back when he was academy player instead of allow this saga to go this long in the first place...). If Mbappe becomes an even better player (dare even one of the best in the world) when he reaches his prime, it would be naive to not consider taking him up from a strategic and business standpoint purely out of pride and spite.

jcald60

But Real Madrid have a bigger chance of winning the next 5 in a row than psg does winning just one Fuck, i even have more faith on barca winning one again before psg wins one

vizionsx

I don't think they do, Madrid's run this year was the luckiest i have ever seen. PSG, City and Chelsea played better than them overrall

RavLeon

Congratulations to your “played better than RM” trophy! What a season!

xtoonator

Pretty sure half of their locker room gets a huge bonus for winning that one

jcald60

In the champions league its not about playing the most beautiful its about winning. Real madrid has that winning at all cost you don’t stop fighting till the whistle is blown mentality. Luck? Hahahaha Crushing psg and seeing how they shit themselves is not luck. It has become a tradition even Man U was able to make a comeback against the bottlers of psg.

Aig1178

Dont cry bro. Thank the referee, Donnamura is fouled. In the end if you lose the final and you lose Mbappé, your season will have a bitter taste

Gotanyfunkopops

Whether he stays or not, it’s his choice, lol. In the scheme of things, this is not a big deal. Dude is having a major case of blue balls, chill

VivasMadness

I think this deserves a proper translation (or at least, an attempt at it): I'm still hoping this kid, at the end, finally sees the light. Look, this kid has me up to the hat. *gets interrupted* Let me talk. let me talk because this isn't something between Madrid and Barca. This is about loyalty and him being an honest and serious person. In La Mancha they educated me this way. If at the end he doesn't come to Madrid, he will have shown that it was all fluff, it was all glamour, that it was all smoke and mirrors. \[Something I can't really understand\]. Because he demonstrated in life there were more important things than money. There are things more important than power. Bigger than \[Macron's something?\] There a bigger things than the French Republic. Things that offer you more than 2 floors of the Eiffel Tower. The pride he'd shown, at least until now, that this badge, to him, was the most important. Because it was his dream since he was a child. And it was to teach the whole world, not only Qatar, the world a lesson about football. That not everything is about money. That you have feelings and dreams that can be achieved. If at the end, after having rowed to the shore, after enduring Correa and the Sheikh and the temptations and the cash piles. If after reaching the shore he goes "huh, looks like they are right. I could fire the sporting director and choose who plays and on top be the richest of the world" No, he'll be the poorest of the world. Because he'll keep watching Madrid win European cups. Let him stay there, so he can watch from Paris how Madrid win the Champions League without him **WITHOUT HIM.** IN HIS HOME. OR FROM THE STANDS, BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE HE'LL BE. BECAUSE ON THE PITCH WE HAVE *\*loudly lists a bunch of Real Madrid players\* AND YOU ON THE STANDS.* YES VERY RICH, BUT WITHOUT A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. And us 14. KEEP HOARDING MONEY. OPEN 20 BANK ACCOUNTS. A PERMANENT LINE OF CREDIT WITH QATAR. AND? AND?! To win against the prestigious Lens? To win against the prestigious Lille? To win against Stade Rennes? Now Kylian, look, look, LOOK, LOOK. Paradise goes by earth once. For you, it was twice. You've been very lucky. 2017 and 2022 In 2017, you thought yourself a god and said no. And Madrid won the Champions League. And now you say no and again WE WILL WIN THE EUROPEAN CUP. Keep saying no. Each time you do, we win the champions. Ay kid how ill-advised you are. Thought you'd grown up. If you say no, you are just another one from the pile. And what's more, a loser.

That was intense.

If he really does stay it's going to be a shame to see an incredible talent waste away at PSG and Ligue1 while making the occasional Champions League run. Also if the wage/salary that are being reported are true than they need to be winning the champions league every year.

x_von_doom

Roncero is the court jester of *piperío madridismo*, but he’s 100% spot on here. One of the few times he hasn’t made me totally cringe. Mbappé got greedy and fucked up. PSG will never be Madrid. Just like CR7 fucked up when he left the club for basically getting greedy. Oh well. Woulda been nice, but we don’t *need* him.

DirectAd7430

So let's rephrase. Back a year ago Madrid's fan were sure of: \- Getting Mbappe or Haaland. Maybe both. \- Being ridiculous is 2022 CL Madrid as of today: \- Maybe none of these players \- Final of the CL and maybe winning because Madrid is always favorite in Finals If this is not a sign I don't know what this is.

WackoSamurai

Sign of what?

DirectAd7430

That most people following football (And especially clubs like Madrid and Barcelona) are "fans" not "supporters". They wanted Madrid to "out-PSG" PSG and, at the end, can't take that PSG might "out-madrid" Madrid. (I am talking on a pure money aspect here) Then now they will cope saying "We don't need shiny names to win !".I 100% agree with them but then why the hate for PSG and why did they spent the last year on their knees giving Mbappe online BJ's ? Because they are fans, not supporters. And I am suprised that much people even inside the club fed them that bullshit. It's one thing to use journalist to sell news (and newspaper), it's another to go all in like Madrid did and get nothing at the end. Especially when you DONT NEED IT. edit: I assumed this news was the truth, but even if Mbappe does sign to Madrid this sunday, I don't think Madrid should do what they did with Mbappe ever again.

WackoSamurai

Sir, this is a McDonalds

DirectAd7430

Wrong use of the meme. You called, I replied.

spicynirvana38

Mbappe ~~2022~~ 2024

vicinadp

As someone whos followed the club for over 30 years Im of the opinion its 2022 or never. I feel Flo and the club will not pursue him if he doesnt come. Flo is a proud man and the club has always been bigger than anyone player/person. After this last year with Mbappe I can not see anyway that they would try signing him after this and on top of losing out on Haaland as a result of going all in on Mbappe.

manualex16

Totti, Pirlo from back of my mind flirted with joining Madrid and when they didn't the door was shut for another time. If Mbappé doesn't signs this time I don't think it will be open. Unless there's a change in the presidency.

Few_One3335

Its not even about being proud, he would let us looking like clowns if he renews after all this shit. It would be pathetic for the club to go after him in 2024, 25 or whatever

lkjhgfdhgfd

Will be the first one to go on the knee and suck Mbappes balls if he goes there. Just like all the RM fans that are saying that nobody is bigger than the club. Twerked for him the past years and will do the same the following years too. :D

Rdambx

>Just like all the RM fans that are saying that nobody is bigger than the club What is that supposed to mean tho? Madrid fans can still whine about Mbappé while also believing no one is bigger than Real Madrid, which is true. >Twerked for him the past years and will do the same the following years too. Let's be honest, Mbappé himself twerked for Madrid too. Either way, let's just wait and see how this ends

xtoonator

At least they look into the future. Your fans and social team still mention as certain PSG player in every second post / comment. Stop living in the past. Mes que un caos

mattijn13

Mbappe hasn't said anything about moving or not moving. Not even once and people are saying he disrespected Madrid? How?

monsterm1dget

Man if I was a Real Madrid fan I would be so damn embarrassed to watch this.

Kind-Departure1058

Mbappe is unsure about Madrid being his dream club like he says? Sha

titooo7

So funny to see this upvoted but nobody bothering to translate it for non-Spanish speakers, lol. I used to think that Roncero was just a good actor but lately I'm convinced that he is just.... different

TheBeardedInfidel

Someone made a tldr of the translation. But it was boring as fuck

TheyStoleTwoFigo

Oh wow, those Madrid fanboys who have been trolling Barca about their prospective transfers better hope this does not have an ounce of credit to it with it ending with Mbappe staying in Paris after all the song and dance and it being the largest transfer event of recent years. The return package filled with irony that could melt steel beams would be unbearable.

ozzzzzyyyyyy

It well could be. It is what it is. Shame but we get to move on at that point. Buy some midfielders and defenders and hope hazard takes off next season. We still have a good team and an excellent one if we buy right. Vini and Rodrygo would be our attacking signings for next season.

TheyStoleTwoFigo

Yeah, Vini would definitely have a benefit to such a turn of development in the saga. I thought it was a mistake for him to extend for so long just as Mbappe is predicted to arrive, with wages that IMO doesn't really seem to be in proportion to the risk and commitment. Mbappe is clearly the favoured player, and if Vini can't adapt to a new requirement of him, he's gonna be locked down in that predicament.

Zidlicky3

How is Barça related to this? Absolutely nothing. Maybe send some DM's to them or get over it.

Yupadej

Looks like Haaland loves City more than Mbappe loves Real lol. Understandable since Mbappe was just a plastic Madrid fan. Haaland was actually there in Manchester when he was a kid

wutend159

ca sent la clim

Silveriovski

This is the same dude that was asking for mbappe to be praised and applauded during the Madrid - psg match.

NateShaw92

He seems delighted.

stpstrt

This guy is going to pop a brain vein.
