I think dybala was tad average for both country and club.
Good thing he is leaving , they never have to discuss the hypothesis of building a team around him. Surely fail
Your comment is still irrelevant. I will repeat it once and sloely. He said that Dybala is his favorite player, and NOT said thet Dybala is the best and Chiellini, Bonucci and Pirlo are joke. Reading comprehension is a very important thing taught in elementray school.
I agree but with chiellini, it was sort of expected. He had a great career and everyone appreciated everything he did for football as a whole and juve as a club. With Paulo, though, he didn't want to leave. He wanted to stay as long as possible, but arrivabene didn't offer him a contract. And I think that's why he started crying - he wasn't done playing for Juve yet, he wanted to keep going because he loves I bianconeri.
Seeing fans reactions honestly suprised me. I always thought he was a frustratingly underwhelming player that never reached his potential. Where does this praise come from to be compared to ADP?!
He had ups and downs but 7 years at the club with a great attitude on the pitch, that's something you value. Plus he's so damn handsome let's be honest
He was and still is so good. I dont know if it's a work ethic thing or whatever went down cus he was benched under pirlo a lot plus injuries, but i still believe in the skill of this guy.
I have no horse in this race but I’m sad to see him leave your club too. I think people oversell things like potential, it’s always been clear even as an outsider how much he means to the club and vice versa. Sad day as a footbal l fan
Couple of years ago I’d have said yes absolutely. Been a fan since Palermo. But he’s not been at his best and injured a bit. And they weren’t spectacular together at Juventus.
Yea fair… I don’t even know what United’s main transfer targets look like for this summer, is striker a priority?
Besides De Jong what other areas do you think they’ll strengthen? Defense?
I think 8 players are leaving anyway in the summer so I think a gradual complete rebuild. But midfield and all over defence needs a complete overhaul. We have Ronaldo for maybe another season at best, and that’s not certain. He could still leave in the summer. I fully expect us to not win anything or compete for a good while. But, with the changes so far it’s the most optimistic I’ve been. Just need new owners now.
We already should be getting rid of fernandes with ETH coming in and VDB coming back.. why would we sign Dybala when we need misfielders fullbacks a CB and a CF instead of.. another #10/SS when we wont play 4-4-2..? Besides the fact that we re United and we re run by clueless idiots who sign players based on IG followers ofc..
Technically hes still right though. If this was an important match and juventus were behind I dont think they would stand there waving goodbye to every single person in existence.
The clock doesnt stop in football. They can just wait until after the game to make a proper farewell to the players. Atleast if they implement the rule of 60 minutes matches of active play this could be possible without anyone complaining but thats not the case.
Sarri has nothing to do with juventus or the players in question, why should he give a fuck about a player changing teams.
Been a juve fan for a very very long time and I don't think I will ever understand the decision to let are gem go for free. It's incredibly clear that he loves the club.
He plays a position/role that's harder to fit into the modern game, he's rarely fit, and wants big wages. I get Juve fans love him, but your club is too big to rely solely in a guy like Dybala.
He had a decent proposal for like 2 years but he kept stalling with his agent in hopes of a bigger check and then Covid happened too. His injuries got in the way of his first team impact and he definitely didn't look like a 10 mil/season player. If he really wanted to stay that much he would've done so, or maybe he did but it was too late when he woke up as the club were signing Vlahovic.
Genuinely curious, how come as a Hull fan, your favorite players are Martin Palermo and Dybala??
Edit: no need to answer, I completely forgot dybala played for Palermo which is what you meant.
Haha you had me confused at first before I saw the edit.
I know weird combo, but Dybala was a FM/FIFA favorite of mine when he was at Palermo, started watching him afterwards and following him over the years.
First, it’s hilarious that your username is Dr Gonzo considering how ridiculous the language and plot is in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I don’t mean that in a rude way but that book/movie is probably harder to understand than bad = attractive. Weirdly enough I just watched that movie for the first time this week.
I’m not a linguistics expert or anything of the nature, but to my understanding, a lot of American slang derived from African American/southern culture and was popularized through music and art. It’s not uncommon for American language to take a word that, by original definition, can be negative in connotation and use it as a compliment — “that dude is a beast/monster”, “that is the shit”, “that’s a bad man”, “damn she’s bad”, “this song goes stupid/dummy”, “that’s based”, etc. Where or why these terms exactly started is hard to judge but I’m sure part of it is the allure of subversion.
I’m not sure where you’re from, I’ll assume Italy because of the inter flair, but I’d guess the Italian language has some interesting slang that, while it might not be exactly subversion, is different than the original definition?
Edit: further info on “the shit” —
“According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the first documented use of "the shit" to refer to something excellent, as opposed to the more common use of "shit" to refer to something of poor quality, was in a 1987 unpublished typescript manuscript of "campus slang" at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. The first documented appearance of "the shit" with positive connotations in a published source, according to the OED, was in a 1991 issue of Source Magazine, a hip-hop magazine. According to the OED entry, this particular usage of "the shit" first started out as more common among African-Americans, probably starting out in the South. Hip hop also probably played a role in popularizing this usage of "the shit" in the 1990s. If I recall correctly, this gibes with my memory of reading statements like "X was the shit" in the Beastie Boys zine, Grand Royal, back in the early 1990s.”
Man, I don't like Juve but I really like Dybala and Chiellini. Weird they won't be there, and even weirder Dybala will be in an Inter shirt most likely

That lad in the crowd pulling his celebration while filming is so funny idk why

this so so fucking sad, my favorite player since Del Piero...
That's quite a high praise
Got a better send off than Del Piero through...
Is chellini, bonucci, Pirlo all a joke ?
He said favorite, not best.
I think dybala was tad average for both country and club. Good thing he is leaving , they never have to discuss the hypothesis of building a team around him. Surely fail

I definitely failed comprehension. And I dislike dybala. Though I respect his opinion. And I have rights to express my opinion like everyone else
Grazie Paul
Ah yes, Paul.
I thought i'd never cry again for football after Alex's farewell in 2012 God i was wrong. Ciao Paulino, you'll always be my Joya
Yeah then add in chiellini fucking hell im sad
I agree but with chiellini, it was sort of expected. He had a great career and everyone appreciated everything he did for football as a whole and juve as a club. Same tbh. As soon as I saw him sobbing it got to me just like with ADP 10 years ago. Literally my two fav players ever

Ferguson?
On the verge of tears 💔
where's he going?
He and Milinkovic Savic are going Fulham, confirmed by Fabrizio. ^^^not ^^^Romano ^^^. ^^^I ^^^have ^^^a ^^^mate ^^^called ^^^Fabrizio
Fabrizio Jones, if you may ask
Miguel Delaney's cousin
Sounds legit… also can you ask your mate if I should start trying to date now after two years of separation from my ex?
He sent a picture of your Ex with Here We Go written on it, too far Fabrizio!
Can’t argue with results
Dressing room maybe. Couldn't tell for sure; video ends too soon.
Technically correct
The best kind of correct.
he went around the stadium a couple of times actually
Has United written all over it, once Cavani heads off.
Haven’t you heard? We’ve completely changed and now make good decisions.
Honestly for a team with unlimited money the idea of getting 1-2 good years of Dybala playing SS behind Ronaldo doesn’t sound too bad to me
Couple of years ago I’d have said yes absolutely. Been a fan since Palermo. But he’s not been at his best and injured a bit. And they weren’t spectacular together at Juventus.

They had great chemistry under Sarri in 2019/20 with Ronaldo having scored most goals at the club and Dybala winning Serie A MvP

Which club is he moving to?
Hopefully any club but Inter
most rumors say Inter

To Ten Hag's Tricky Reds
Roma
Inter looks like.
Manchester United of course /s for all the clowns that 2ont understand the sarcasm.
Thanks
thank you for your input
Scenes when he goes to Newcastle
I think its his final home match. His final match will be next week (if he plays)
Lmao was Sarri complaining that he was time wasting?? I have never seen a man so miserably cynical. Kinda amazing honestly.
Well he actually manages to draw the game and they are still fighting for a place in Europe
yeah... a real manager LMAO Sarri > Pirlo > Allegri

You do know Sarri left Juventus a while back yeah?
of course he would. He's a professional trying to win a game

This is so accurate
High wages, often injured.
Wholesome.
One of my favorite players ever since Palermo, hope he finds a good home this summer.

Suarez, Insigne, Dybala. Three heartbreaking farewells.
*Final home game Juventus is playing Fiorentina next week
On his insta post he said it was his last game.
Deserved ovation
Dybala sad mask :(
Definitely saddest juve game in a while... At least since Buffon's last game for Juve.
man he’s already 28 wtf
OP forgor the o

Damn Italian women are so bad
Olive oil > Ranch dressing
*Bonk*
Thanks for the input, God's gift to mankind /u/bruinsluva
Bad = attractive in American slang
why though? also when people say "it's the shit". Why the 'shit' is a compliment? what's going on over there?

Michael Jackson, I think
Yes throw all italian women into one basket because of 3 plastics who were on camera because theyre gfs of the players
He is calling them attractive.
is he actually going to inter?
who is the non-native speaker in the clip?
Man, I don't like Juve but I really like Dybala and Chiellini. Weird they won't be there, and even weirder Dybala will be in an Inter shirt most likely
On his way to Inter
Hopefully he pulls a Ramos
Rip Juve
This will look awkward when he signs for Inter next week.
holy shit just realized he is already 29 this year.
