Faisalfikry

Son has just equalled salah’s npg this season in a much weaker team than liverpool. How come son is never mentioned in the best players in the league conversations this season?

Rum114

what about his assists

Faisalfikry

Salah has 10, son has 6 but on xA salah should be on 8, and son should be on 7 so not THAT big a difference

He's a cunt, fuck him.

Fancy-Past-6831

Man United job is poison's chalice, as a random football fans I can't even see anything which could fix 'em in short/long term.

Fancy-Past-6831

Southampton should be inducted to Bundesliga along with Betis and Atlanta

X-V-W

I just hope the top 4 race is still close when Spurs and Arsenal play mid-May. Will be fantastic drama.

PhilsKessticle

If we’re being real, the home team wins the NLD every time so I’d rather it jus not be close, Spurs are making it anyways

1ngK

I think we just can't play against relegation teams at all

[deleted]

Bolstex

Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal as the wingbacks again. I know they played great last game, Doc in particular, but I can’t help but feel paranoid. Reguilon is in the bench

SteadiestShark

I think the goal has given Emerson a much needed confidence boost. I know that his passing will probably still suck but at least he will be fired up. Also, oh crap Doherty is down :(

thelonesomedemon1

ig you're doing fine

longlivejahvro

It’s honestly a miracle that we’re in the top 4 conversation considering our striker options are Lacazette and Nketiah

Nut-King-Call

Instead of complaining about the refs and whatnot, Arsenal fans should put all their efforts into preventing to have to face Brighton at home in the final stretch of the season. It never ends up well for them.

Fancy-Past-6831

"Brighton are cheat, hope they get relegated" - A wise man

MKCycle

Coutinho could become Cooltinho if he decides to stay at Aston villa

PhilsKessticle

Too bad he’s still Finishedtinho

Fancy-Past-6831

Timo scored 2 but still felt like he could have scored 5.

alx69

He hit the crossbar 3 times and missed another sitter so yes

PuppyPenetrator

Seeing as he hit the woodwork three times, fine margins were genuinely the difference from 5 goals here

Agricultural_Expert

5-2=3 6+3=9 Goddammit it’s all his fault

burningbarn8

It's Tuchel's fault for taking off Mount. Would've gotten there if he'd played the full 90.

DuckBurner0000

Our only striker who's definitely available today is a 23 year old who's made seven first team professional appearances and never scored. Can't wait to tear my eyes out watching us

junior150396

Don't you guys have the less stellar Bou brother?

DuckBurner0000

He’s dealing with some minor injury, missed the last match. Not really familiar with his brother, how good is he?

junior150396

Imagine a younger Gustavo but with elite passing/creation and pressing.

DuckBurner0000

Gustavo is a pretty good passer to be fair, his main problem is that he's somewhat awkward on the ball. He's in really poor form to start the season right now though

FaustRPeggi

Going to have to start pretending I haven't been crusading in the belief that Arsenal have been destined to finish comfortably top 4 since January.

truthibespittin

Well that exciting top 4 race went down to the stretch didn’t it?

[deleted]

How can you possibly think it’s over

truthibespittin

Who’s going to stop them?

[deleted]

Bare in mind this spurs team is the same team that lost to burnley, southampton, wolves and chelsea in the space of 5 league games just 2 months ago. Not over until it’s over.

MrIrishman699

Lacazette doesn't start for anyone else in the Premier League or Top half of the Championship

Kanedauke

Got a feeling we are going to get battered by spurs

MKCycle

Nah AV is winning 3-2

Kanedauke

No way my guy.

FaustRPeggi

It is most likely. They'll score the most goals in the league between now and the end I think.

cyclops274

That post about the Uganda player getting yogurt and bread. Why is it posted here just to make fun of Uganda league without any context.

probably_dutch

Half the people in that thread seem to think he'd be starving without that bread as well. It's so weird

kplo

This sub has moments in which it gets racist. News about middle east, africa or south america bring in a lot of cunts.

[deleted]

Lol "moments". Pretty much any non-NATO country gets treated like they're subhuman by this sub.

cyclops274

Turkey is a NATO country I don't think I see any positives about them.

cyclops274

They think this is the top league in Uganda and not some amateur tournament. Someone should post English player getting a biscuit and tea and say that is what EPL man of the match gets.

Harrry-Otter

Didn’t watch todays match, instead 4 pints deep with a portion of tempura prawn bao buns on the way. Think I know who’s winning today.

narutosama77

How is this football related @ mods

StarlordPunk

Because he’s saying that as a United fan he’d rather have a drink than watch United?

Harrry-Otter

Bet you’re a right hoot at parties

Adgej123

🐍

Wiseman-Dennis

Grass

Grosly_Incandescent

Good on you. I think I'm done with United for the rest of the season. Sick of spending 2 hours on my life getting disappointed and frustrated over something I have no control over.

Harrry-Otter

Honestly, Last few of weeks I’ve probably watched 50% of our games. It’s not that I’m avoiding them, I just feel much less guilty doing something else if it’s suggested.

majorocksejen

West Ham getting top 4. Absolute joke of league.

[deleted]

This is what I hate about teams like Chelsea and City. So many teams like West Ham and Leicester punching above their weight would have either qualified or been close to qualifying for the CL if you didn't have financial dopers in the league.

Fancy-Past-6831

But but they will award 2 spots in CL for "Historical Performances"

truthibespittin

Well they are pretty massive ain’t they 🤷🏾‍♂️

Kanedauke

West Ham are class. They’ll knock you out in the round of 16 next season.

[deleted]

Been knocked out by Lyon, Porto, and Villarreal at the same stage the last 3 seasons so it's not unlikely.

KiAdiBumMe

You got knocked out by seventh place in La Liga pal x

Meeeeehhhh

Harder to pay off CL refs

Agricultural_Expert

In the middle of all this chaos I really wish we had the wise input of a loyal and honest Arsenal fan like Elyas.

Mrdingo_thames

Lacazette, lacathreat, lacaoxygen, lacastamina, lacabalance, lacainternational appearances

EggSheeran_

Twerkazette

tyetforsyth

there was that parody clip of lacazette holding up the ball, hilarious

EggSheeran_

Send me the link

icemankiller8

I hate arsenal so much man why did I have to support this shit club. I knew top 4 was done after the palace game but when did we have to be this bad against Brighton

PhilsKessticle

Felt like that after the Everton game too 🙃 Why did they stick wit Mark Henry and Nketiah in January I don’t understand

icemankiller8

There’s literally no point to arsenal anymore we will never get back to what we used to be so it’s a complete waste of time

PhilsKessticle

This was the best chance to make top 4 because United won’t be this shambolic again and Conte will have more time + a summer transfer window, they fucked up so hard by not bringing in even a decent striker. Everyone was begging for a striker and a midfielder in the January window, and we need 2 strikers this summer anyways so I really don’t understand why they didn’t take the chance and bring someone in. Realistically, what we have to hope for is they bring in quality players this summer and the youth take a big jump, otherwise they’ll be leaving to other clubs in a few years and we’re dead fr

icemankiller8

Tbh the issue isn’t that we won’t make top 4 this year it’s more that we will never be able to get back to the top. There’s always gonna be better teams because of our owners and someone else will just take our best players if they ever become that good

QGunners22

Name a worse starting prem striker than lacazette

narutosama77

Firminio

[deleted]

Firmino's only started 9 games this season and is also significantly better.

PuppyPenetrator

1-2 years late there

junior150396

Is Josh Sargent a starter for Norwich? If so, then him.

oscarpaterson

[Think someone's jumped the gun there with that description..](https://imgur.com/a/RMSlRfh)

obvious_bot

>Everton 1-0 Man U >Everton 0-0 Man U >Huge win for United! Whiplash reading that whole thing

moe_moe_kyunn

8 point lead over Spurs and arsenal .. I think Chelsea can get top 4 hopefully 😅

OnlyFoalsNHorses

Changed your tune. A week ago arsenal were never going to lose again and we'd finish outside top 6.

alx69

Tottenham have gotten 39 points from 20 PL games since Conte took over (1.95 ppg) They're easily the favourites for 4th and Conte is a magician

ChiAllTheTime

Only one who got signings in January

Wiseman-Dennis

> Conte is a magician That he is however I’ll never understand how he keeps shitting the bed in Europe.

KimmyBoiUn

In his 16 years of managing, he's only ever won 1 knockout tournament.

APEXN717

Is it the 2018 FA Cup with Chelsea?

KimmyBoiUn

Yep.

Luis_Carlos_Almeida

What a gaffer

truthibespittin

Southampton were a disgrace and so shit I can’t take anything away from that game and I hope Tuchel doesn’t either. There’s a few players who scored but have been absolute trash this season(I’m looking at you Werner and Mount)and don’t need to be seeing the field against Madrid.

burningbarn8

Mount has 10 goals and 8 assists this season in the league in 20 full 90s. A goal or assist every fucking 101 minutes. Trash????? No chance.

narutosama77

CL is done for Chelses, they should be focusing on top 3 and next season.

Luis_Carlos_Almeida

Cmon Spurs this does not fucking slip. We are so close.

dirgetka

apparently today was the first time all season we've been 2 goals up at any point in a league match. Fucking woeful year -- roll on summer

machorhombus

Starting to think that going into the latter half of the season with 13 players for seemingly no reason at all was a bad idea. Maybe Arsenal's management really wasn't that good after all

[deleted]

I’m crying, Games in Hand FC are actually bottling top 4.

HAMlLTON

~~Ahead of schedule FC~~ Back on schedule FC

thelonesomedemon1

Apparently Arsenal have 1 points/game without Partey since he joined

AhoyDaniel

Davies dissing Maguire and saying that about Ronaldo of all people who has dissed his own team mates in the past 😂😂

tyetforsyth

We need to remember Davies is almost a yank

narutosama77

😂so funny

TheSodaDude

There it is. The mentally weak, false dawn Arsenal we all know.

icemankiller8

Wouldn’t say it’s mentally weak the team just lost key players and aren’t any good without them

The_PantsMcPants

Chelsea's away form is just mad- 11-3-2 with a +26 GD

APeckover27

If we rebuild Stamford Bridge and play at Wembley we might win the league

PuppyPenetrator

Praying we take it to the Bernabeu

MKCycle

The McGinn and Ramsey duo is so dynamic. McGinn is actually criminally underrated

tyetforsyth

0 ball retention

LurkingINFJ

Chelsea 6 goals Celtic 7 goals We know who is better

Grosly_Incandescent

Once again 4th place is lava and simply who is the least shit, rather than who is actually good lmao

obvious_bot

🌎 👩‍🚀 🔫 Always has been

Wasssan

We were good until Tierney got injured.

transtifa

Since Conte was appointed Spurs are the third best team in the league lol

GerGavin

We were the 3rd best team for a while means fuck all really form can change but you guys have the advantage 8 long games left I think Mikel needs to remind these lads what they are playing for they seem to have forgot.

transtifa

Well, it means we’re ahead of you in the table. Now that’s a fact.

GerGavin

It is but every game is a potential banana skin from here on out and the NLD is huge the race is only beginning you are literally ahead on goal difference.

transtifa

Sure it’s true. But what is football if you don’t enjoy the moments when you’re up, even if the next disaster is just around the corner?

GerGavin

Agreed I was the first to call spurs shit when we were ahead now I’m suffering and it sucks but I still believe we are still having a good season but we need to have a very good one.

Grosly_Incandescent

O God you're starting to sound like Arsenal fans last year with their form table for half the season. Please stop

transtifa

I’m talking statistically, it’s not an opinion. The race is far from over for sure and I fully expect us to fuck up still, but in terms of goals scored, goals against and, you know, points, we are the third best side in the league right at this moment.

TheFakeIceCream

I mean Arsenal fans were using statistics as well, others (especially Tottenham fans) still clowned them. Not saying it is right though.

avolcando

Tbf we're actually decent since we got Conte in

Grosly_Incandescent

Decent for sure but still pretty inconsistent performance wise. Its only recently that you've started looking better. Given us (united) arnt getting top 4 id much rather you get it over Arsenal

AshkenaziTwink

we had a good run of form up until new years as well

cyclops274

What purpose does a captain do in soccer. It is not like cricket? You have the coaches in the ground doing the tactics.

ManLikeNiz

Talking to the referee and calms players on the pitch mainly

cyclops274

Thanks I thought it was ceremonial position for leadership but tactics, managerial stuff done by the coach.

[deleted]

Dealing with the ref, giving out tactics, communication, inspiring other players. They don't have to be the best player (it helps) but if they have game smarts, they're perfect for the role. It's why you'll have Klopp selecting Henderson or Milner instead of whatever player on FIFA has a higher card rating, they're more likely to be able to communicate and dictate tactics.

cyclops274

How does a goalie become a captain. Isn't hard to communicate most of the players since they are so far away.

APeckover27

It's pretty rare.

[deleted]

Seniority is usually when that happens. I don't think a keeper should be captain in the modern game, but it can happen because a lot of the time you have multiple leaders on the pitch. Gerrard used to lead by example, but Carragher was generally the marshal.

mister_greenman

Birds simply make for superior crests

EggSheeran_

Yeah except a chicken

tnweevnetsy

Arsenal (2.27) 1-2 (0.74) Brighton Typical Brighton game.... wait

ChiAllTheTime

It was 1.85 - 0.66

thelonesomedemon1

You dare use my own spell against me, Potter? ~Mikel Arteta, circa 2022

HAMlLTON

Fine, they lost but let’s not ignore the incredible last 10 minutes of pressure from Arsenal.

kplo

Fella, for 30 min they had Pep on the ropes. That's worth a PL.

a_magic_wizard

I missed it, did they put the pressure on?

PuppyPenetrator

Joke about how Arsenal fans hype up performances even when they lose 1-2 City flashbacks

HAMlLTON

your fault for blinking

Undesirable_11

That's Arsenal's top 4 hopes gone imo

PuppyPenetrator

Nah it’s not over but Spurs are heavy favourites after some key injuries

Big_Occasion_7235

There's still 8 more games left to play tho

Agricultural_Expert

4 of them are against Chelsea, United, West Ham, and Spurs

Big_Occasion_7235

Bro, they're tied in points and have an equal number of games left to play. I understand that if u think that Spurs has an advantage by simply judging both teams' fixtures but there are issues with that. Spurs might have won their last 3 games but before that they were literally winning one game and losing the next. Also, United is shit rn (from a United fan BTW) and Arsenal could turn things around if they win the match against Spurs.

TheParaplegicPanda

What Spanish person names their son Robert

AtletiJack

His dad is English

Cant wait to see the positivity merchants Rajpal, Charles Watt and Athletic and how Arsenal is going forward with the Coneman

the_studge

What was Pepe doing at the end there? Unserious footballer.

narutosama77

Same with Saka too, questionable decisions

a_magic_wizard

BIG result, actually didn't expect Arsenal to fold like this. I beg for once we capitalise on results going our way.

Big_Occasion_7235

Hope u do. Would rather see u guys get top 4 than those asses

anakmager

is it safe to say that this Utd team is worse than Moyes' Utd?

MotherHat9116

Moyes' United were the champions the previous season

wbroniewski

[Legia tifo](https://www.wykop.pl/cdn/c3201142/comment_1649519431BVKVJgLrPWrDKDAqtG6RCv.jpg) against Lech. Lech has agreement with Spartak fans, we do not

tyetforsyth

Dirty leeds on their way to concede 10 goals again

Meeeeehhhh

None of the good PL teams (so basically all the fans in here) want you go down. You’re like a free 6 points +10 goal difference every year.

Icy_Breadfruit4198

Lest you forget that last season we got points from all the big 6 teams bar Arsenal, including 4 from Man City and 3 from Spurs. Not sure you can use only our 2nd season back in the Prem as evidence that we’re an ‘easy 6 points every year’.

Meeeeehhhh

And this season you’ve conceded 9 goals to Man United

Icy_Breadfruit4198

Yeah, we’ve been awful this season. Hopefully next season we finish top 10 again.

[deleted]

Meeeeehhhh

Interesting take

Meeeeehhhh

Conceding another 90th goal are you fucking kidding me

wildinout2233

Dare I say that Marsch knows what he’s doing?
