I love watching Alana play. Her awareness and vision of the play is so good. She is very technical and has a great presence in the air. She has also been the best CB for the national team with Becky and Tierna out with just a few caps. She is improving each game and I’m glad Laura Harvey is pushing her forward for set pieces. She is going to be world class and she is going to be great in the next World Cup.

The win is great but do we need to look into some kind of a cleansing ceremony for the finishing? Smudge their boots with sage? Do we need a limpia? A healer? A traiteur? Even after the goal, they should have had 2-3 more! Credit to Franch on the saves but those should not have been savable. managed to tune back in shortly before 2nd half kickoff - sometimes I'm less precise in turning the game back on Pinoe seems like a good halftime sub, as older players could get worn out playing a full 90 week in week out, and this is more meaningful than 84th minute or something also, it's jarring at first to see teams attacking/defending opposite ends the 1st half of the 2nd half has felt like the first 45 - no goals, but still lots of action, setpieces going nowhere on both sides.

All of our crosses are out of reach. So frustrating.

Lavelle just sits at midfield crying from whistle to whistle, Balcer just repeatedly bashes her head off the post for 90 minutes, Fish carries around a 2x4 with a nail in it on the pitch, and Huerta just kicks the ball at the head of the opposing teams coach whenever she touches it. It’s a crazy topsy turvy dimension and I would like to visit it.

Lynn got a couple games before tearing her hamstring. From the bone. 🥺 It sounds like the surgery went well and rehab is going well but still out for the season.

Lynn Williams got a SEI in the challenge cup and Sam Mewis had a setback in recovery for her knee injury.

Season ending injuries are so brutal. I hate to hear that hopefully Lynn comes back strong I've always been a fan of hers.
