It’s classic WWE. Having a premier guy fighting **for** the belt makes more money than having him defend it against challengers (bums) There’s no prestige in BKB atm so it’s viable to do the above.

MVP is style dependent and Alves is the stand and throw type scrapper that would make for a good fight. Plus he's a name, and a winnable fight, as Coker wants to get MVP back into a title fight ASAP.
