United have only 1 striker. When Martial is fit, he starts. And he isn't injury prone. [This last one was his longest injury lay off yet.](https://www.transfermarkt.com/anthony-martial/verletzungen/spieler/182877)
Spurs are a special case.. the problem has been that the squad itself is stale. A new manager won't necessarily change that. They might put up more of a fight to impress the new manager, but they're still going through the motions with the same players. They seemed to have a fire lit under them, and seemed sharp against Sheffield in the last gameweek but they still couldn't solve problems.
I'm going to see what the West Ham game is like before I get any Spurs players in. It should be obvious then if there is going to be a new manager bump or not.
Maybe, but why drop the striker with the second most points for forwards? For his price he’s undroppable. Surely you can drop someone else, like Sterling for example (if you have him), who is much more expensive and give you lots more funds.
I started out with Kane and this shit was infuriating. Definitely need to consider making room for him now depending on who replaces Poch. I think they're likely to have a good run of form regardless of who comes in.
Without the ability to spend big I can’t see it. Levy is notorious for being tight fisted. Good for keeping players under pressure, bad for overpaying for the players needed.
What’s funny is they literally brought in two world class players in Ndombele and Lo Celso yet neither have really done anything & people are still complaining about the squad not being good enough. Sure the fullbacks and RW may not be the best in the world but they’re definitely serviceable
They have players who were top quality a few years ago. Alderweireld and Vertonghen were the best CB pairing in the prem a couple of years ago. Now though they’re past their best. Sanchez I hear is good but I’m yet to be convinced by.
Eriksen should’ve been sold for maximum value and a replacement brought in. Lloris has turned into a liability at times.
The problem I see is that these are still decent players, but they really need to be in the phasing out stage. A few key signings and some smart selling and they’ll be back in the top 4, but they feel stagnant at the moment. They’ll let their players decline and wonder how they went from a seemingly guaranteed top 4 squad to the 14th position they find themselves in now.
They could just as easily fall back to a Europa scraping team as recover into a top 4/dark horse for the league team. All depends on the new manager and whether Levy will allow big spending.
It’s a centre back pairing. I have the same opinion about both players, I just couldn’t remember who wanted out. If I didn’t like Ant and Dec it wouldn’t make my opinion less credible if I couldn’t tell which is which. I didn’t say one was good and one was bad. If you feel so hurt by an off the cuff comment I’ll remove it for you. Smh.
the starting 11 is the same as 2015 only difference is no walker and dembele for ndombele and aurier. signings came too late dembele should have been replaced last season
Yeah I don't know how this improves the morale of the squad, almost half of whom have booked their plane tickets out of London for x months time. And if Mourinho is coming in like people here are saying how can they really expect him to improve that situation when he's used to wielding authority over players loyal to his club to achieve success.

Since the site is down, here is the article:
> The Club can today announce that Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff Jesus Perez, Miguel D’Agostino and Antoni Jimenez have been relieved of their duties.
> Chairman, Daniel Levy, said: "We were extremely reluctant to make this change and it is not a decision the Board has taken lightly, nor in haste.
> “Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.
> “It falls to the Board to make the difficult decisions - this one made more so given the many memorable moments we have had with Mauricio and his coaching staff - but we do so in the Club's best interests.
> “Mauricio and his coaching staff will always be part of our history. I have the utmost admiration for the manner in which he dealt with the difficult times away from a home ground whilst we built the new stadium and for the warmth and positivity he brought to us. I should like to thank him and his coaching staff for all they have contributed. They will always be welcome here.
> “We have a talented squad. We need to re-energise and look to deliver a positive season for our supporters.”
> We shall provide an update on new coaching staff in due course.
Over the last 5 games spurs have scored only 2 points and dropped points from winning positions. With the flurry of games over the next few months, new manager boost would be very welcome for their fortunes.
Did not expect that so soon, not sure what to make of it for FPL, could wait and see with their assets but that didn't work out so well for those of us who did the same with United last season. Their fixtures are pretty decent, tempting to jump on the Son bandwagon immediately and hope for that new mana
International Break standing in the Colosseum screaming 'are you not entertained' at us plebiscites who were reasonably calmly awaiting the return of FPL. What is this madness?
Honestly have no idea who they’re gonna get in. Probably look to current prem managers. Only ones I see being reasonable are Nuno from Wolves or Eddie Howe from Bournemouth.
Last season Kane started 8 games between the end of the last IB and the new year mark, scoring 8 goals and getting 3 assists, he likes December (fixture wise not weather though, he missed a game against Leicester due to flu and came as a sub for last 16 mins) and now he'll be a striker again (a normal striker who really acts like a striker on pitch), I smell goals.
To be honest right now vardy and abraham are the best for me because at their price i can use that other money to strengthen my other parts of the squad. I think i will just leave it like it is
Not sure whether to avoid Spurs players or get them in.
i've Son lined up for this GW to replace CHO. now i've no idea
If you dont fully trust in Son then you don’t deserve Son
Go for Martial, perhaps
Martial for me is the biggest confusion. He's great when he's playing but he's not playing too often
United have only 1 striker. When Martial is fit, he starts. And he isn't injury prone. [This last one was his longest injury lay off yet.](https://www.transfermarkt.com/anthony-martial/verletzungen/spieler/182877)
Oh that's very reassuring and helpful. Thanks
Can they get any worse?
Every match could turn into battle of Stamford bridge. Yellow cards everywhere.
I mean it's not like I wanted them at their worse, a slight improvement won't change that
Spurs are a special case.. the problem has been that the squad itself is stale. A new manager won't necessarily change that. They might put up more of a fight to impress the new manager, but they're still going through the motions with the same players. I'm going to see what the West Ham game is like before I get any Spurs players in. It should be obvious then if there is going to be a new manager bump or not.
I think it will be a chance for any totenham players to prove themselves so the first five games will be 💥💥💥
I think its time to start getting them in
Watch two or three games, then decide. It's almost impossible to be worse than we have been though.
No more Kane (10.8) at CDM 👀
A certain Jose Mourniho might disagree
If Spurs hire Mou I will absolutely be dropping Auba for Kane.
https://mobile.twitter.com/timessport/status/1196945324939599872?s=21
I have vardy, abraham and king but i will gladly drop abraham and king for kane and another budget striker.
Why would you drop Abraham? The man can’t stop scoring. Surely you are able to release funds somewhere else to fund Kane?
I obviously i wouldnt drop him until i see kane performing again. I mean that kane is more experienced and hat tricks might be easier to come for him.
Maybe, but why drop the striker with the second most points for forwards? For his price he’s undroppable. Surely you can drop someone else, like Sterling for example (if you have him), who is much more expensive and give you lots more funds.

Kane(C) against Newcastle got me 4 pts. My vice cap was salah who scored 15😡
Guy in my mini-league triple-captained him that GW. Consider yourself lucky-ish.
Or at least consider yourself not completely stupid.
I did KDB/Wilson to Martial/Kane like a madman last night and now I’m going to captain Kane. Will be interesting..
Isn't that Kane's decision to play so deep?
[удалено]
He does the same thing for England though so I don't think it's going to change that much
Ultimately i think spurs players contributed to their managers down fall. This all started when the rumurs to buy ericksen started

LOOKS LIKE SPURS IS BACK ON THE MENU BOYS
With Mourinho most likely taking over?
Gazzaniga essential
When you look at Mourinho's career, this appointment makes perfect sense. He did unbelievable job at Inter with their aging squad.
The squad is stale, they bought these players a year too late.
Ndombele has been amazing. Lo Celso got an injury just a couple of weeks after signing and has only recently been match fit.
They have players who were top quality a few years ago. Alderweireld and Vertonghen were the best CB pairing in the prem a couple of years ago. Now though they’re past their best. The phrase “world-class” gets thrown around so loosely these days.
Lol yup. They aren’t anywhere near world class to me.
taking them to 4th spot on the table and man u down to 10th
I can see it but it won’t be with attacking football.
Defense triple up. Mourinho is a big improvement over Poch
The issue was never the manager it was Daniel Levy being cheap, the players wanted more money or wanted to leave, they got neither.

Inevitable post sack winning streak incoming. Son get straight in muh team
I actually got him at the end of last week for Sterling... this might have been a lucky af move.
What the as a spurs fan I'm disappointed, he was a fantastic manager with what he has done for the team. It's sad he went out this way.

No but look what he did with the team and minimal budget and squad depth.
No but...not to disparage Spurs too much, but them even making the Champions League is a pretty big achievement, let alone making it to the final.
[удалено]
I was referring to their achievements based on the club's profile. They certainly put together the manager and the players to make it happen.
It's a silly question regardless of which team you support.
Magnus Carlsen knew.
Can this please become a thing lmao

yes, Poch leaving is terrible news for spurs *generally.* there *might* be a small short-term bump though
Did not expect that so soon, not sure what to make of it for FPL, could wait and see with their assets but that didn't work out so well for those of us who did the same with United last season. Stonks 📈
LEICESTER CITY | WELCOME TO TOP 6| 4K DESPACITO
Mauricio Pochettino, exCommunicado!!!
Please be LVG please god let it be LVG
Poor fella... should’ve taken the Madrid job while the offer was on the table.
Wtf
Transfered in son earlier for sterling. Hope it doesn't back fire.
you just copied Magnus basically !
It will Son...it will...
Just bought Aurier in. Could go either way...
Why is this bad for Son? If Mou takes over he is nailed On the flank in 4-2-3-1. Deli Alis career is finally over. Poch the only one who likes him.
You think Mourinho is likely with Levy as chairman?
i sink its time to park de buss
I'm absolutely shocked. Who the hell are they gonna bring in?! Regarding assets i wouldnt be surprised if the West Ham game ends up being a goal fest.
Bah Gawd! That's the Special One's music!
No! No! It can’t be! It’s him!! It’s really him!!
I can see Mourinho joining Spurs and Poch joining Arsenal now
Mourinho & Levy is a recipe for disaster.
Wouldn't it be OGS out and Poch joining Man Utd?
Where does Emery join then?
Garbage
Fuck right off with that last bit
:( such a great manager. Big loss for Spurs.
Somehow Emery and Ole have their jobs? 2019 is a weird year huh.
Holy fuck
Mourinho incoming :o
Jose Mourinho has arrived
ManU is salivating
Funny how i was looking at Son as a GW18 punt lmao
Respect the Pack or get the sack
About goddamn time. What was he doing this summer?
_All or nothing_
Poch to United?
I think Son might do great with a manager with a breaking strategy.
Is he gonna take a break for the next few months or directly gonna take up the next job?
Good chance Bayern are already on the phone with him.
So what's the best option to invest?
No way of knowing. Wait out.
Gold
Mourinho is a possible candidate. In that case defenders might be a shout. It's way too early to tell though.
Odds on favourite at the moment.

Oh fuck.
Holy shit
Stuck with Kane since day one. I really don't know why tbh.
Even though performances were poor, I did not believe this would happen so soon.
They should go for Steve Bruce. He's been amazing at Newcastle.
I feel bad for him, wished he won a cup before he leaves the club. Good luck !
More proof that magnus carlsen really is from the future.
Time to bring in Spurs defenders? Mou confirmed woah
Left?

Wonder what kind of an impact this will have on Gazzaniga
Just brought in Son, guess we'll have to see what happens
Smart, the lad doesn't want to dilute his Spurs winning percentage anymore
Is it now time for Dele Alli?
Tree trunk harry kane will finally be on the bench!
