I don’t play normal BR so it doesn’t bother me, but if you haven’t paid any attention the last year and a half I’ll let you in on a little secret. People like to play the mode and map of their CHOOSING! Sorry I didn’t tell you sit down before laying that news on you.
No one would have any problem with this mode if normal warzone options were also available! In fact, more people would probably play it if they left the other options in. Same thing happened when they removed rebirth from WZ1. People quit playing. Had they left it in they would have had more people willing to try out the new map (fortunes keep) at the time too. By forcing your playerbase to only play one mode (or map) you piss a portion of them off and likely won’t see them again.
Look at all the things they have done to please you whiny babies and now so many people have abandoned the game. Y'all are ruining the game with all this whining.

Based on the comments in this sub sadly yes. I know. 2 good friends of mine ONLY play COD they cannot fathom playing anything else at all because COD has been their sole source of entertainment since they were in middle school. It's kinda sad honestly.

Did they remove the regular options for solos, duos, trios, and quads? Genuine question. If they added the April Fools mode in addition to the others, no issue. Otherwise you’re removing an option customers have access to and forcing them into another they may have no interest in. That’s the problem.

Well no, my comment was more just a flippant remark, and I’m just annoyed at the hammer solution over a scalpel one when it comes to loot.
That said- I don’t agree it was horrendous, it certainly needed work ( and still does for dmz), but it could easily be a hybrid system with the best of both worlds and the worst of neither. Explained below-
The way the inventory loot works really is only good on keyboard/mouse. It needed adjustment. There’s definitely a way to make it work well for everyone, and use it where it makes sense, and use vomit loot where it makes sense.
For ground crates, no one wants to stop moving, and there’s so few items in them, making that a menu is just, obtuse, so vomit loot is great, and there’s nothing really for it to get stuck in, or interact with.
In the same token of “speed” when it comes to player loot, vomit loot is just categorically worse. Players have so much on them, and the loot just does not, and can not interact with the world enough for it to let you play quickly, but bag loot made you stop.
So for them to fix that all it takes is to let you dance around with wasd/left stick, while the menu is open, and you’re digging around in it- this way loot never gets blocked, stuck, or overlapped by other loot or vehicles and the like, AND you actually can move around and avoid being shot/quickly escape if you do get shot, without fumbling the back button.
The problem for controllers still exists though, the single row of inventory is difficult to navigate quickly, because you have to do so one item at a time. The solution is hotkeys, and a rose style interface. Or rather, the option of a rose, or the row, and option for equip or stow(weapons stow would replace your un equipped weapon, and items and such would either equip or stow to bag) exactly as it is now when it’s on the ground, but inside a menu and not deterred by the world and environment.
Because all items are in a rose, you just move your right stick in the direction of what you want, so everything is within one movement of the stick, just like how mouse can navigate the menu so quickly now controller stick can.
Each system has issues, but the bag allows for a far higher ceiling, and vomit can only get so good, it’s inherently hindered by loot not interacting properly with the world. My suggestions come from a mixture of other games that have had these systems figured for years now, and just another point of how a company like activision can be so blinded by needing a minimum viable product they won’t allow proper development and solutions to occur.
Then again, seeing some of the balancing and result of “proper” development, who knows if they can even make it work right at all anyways, regardless the system or implementation.
Only squads, no SBMM, no fall damage, moon gravity, all explosives and headshot snipers send u straight to the moon and og verdansk. Also only crossbow and kodachis in gulag and a nuke in buy stations

HOWEVER, I do mind when they do it and take away ALL THE OTHER MODES ON THE SECOND DOUBLE XP WEEKEND OF SEASON 2. Fucking stupid.

All I have to look forward to is gaming Friday night, Saturday, and then Sunday afternoon before needing to be work ready Monday at 4 am.
